I want to post something everyday that is awesome about my wife...and it will have to be something from the day I post.

All about the change
My wife likes change. We are changing the arrangement in our living room and may be selling a couple things and bringing in some new furniture...I love rearranging things, and it's simple but it makes her awesome.

Time Travelers Wife
My wife is not, or at least was not, a movie watcher. I am. I love movies. Tonight for our "date night in" was watching this movie. She is awesome because she stayed awake for the entire movie, and got all teary eyed. I love that she will do things I like...

Why Are We Thankful?
So, my wife was telling our kids (I was there) that this month is the month of Thanksgiving. That we need to think of the things we are thankful for. She had the kids start, then she shared one to me.
She said that she was thankful for precious moments. And what makes her awesome is that she shares them with me and her words are filled with love and awe. She said that our 2 year old girl hit our 3 year old boy and hurt him. She made the girl say sorry to the boy, which we always accompany with a hug and typically a kiss as well, so she did. Then she had the girl give the boy a candy corn, and come back and get one of her own. The girl proceeded to go to the couch where the boy was lying down and jumped up there with him. My wife was ready for the next hit, but instead the boy invited the girl to come down and give him more hugs and kisses...not because he was hurt, but because they both wanted to love each other.
My wife is awesome because she is encouraging the goodness that exists in all children.

Only missed one day!
Well, I only missed one day. That is a major accomplishment.
One thing that happened today that tells me MY WIFE IS AWESOME actually connects yesterday and today.
Last night after working with the 14-15 year old boys from our ward (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints) I came home and asked if she would mind me going to play basketball with a bunch of guys. To prove to her I am not a bum I helped her put the house in order and do the dishes and whatnot. Anyway, she is cool with it and has to get to bed early anyway. I leave my home at 9:10pm, arrive and play basketball until 11:30pm, then go to work from there. That's right, I wasn't finished with work. I had to do some driving and then get home and finish a project. I climbed into bed around 2:30am, and the kids started waking up, so really I was sleeping at 3:30. She didn't sleep well, she told me so at 2:30 and 3:00am. She had to wake up around 5:15 to teach a body works class at LA Fitness at 5:45. She probably came home to kids out of bed and playing, but I was asleep the whole time. She let me sleep until 8:30 or so, and when I woke up she was happy I was able to get extra rest. What an awesome wife. She was taking care of all 3 when I woke up, and she then did the homeschooling...amazing.
Does that count for both days? This may seem like a small thing to some, but it is HUGE in my world...I love sleeping.

so much for that...so much has happened...
I really wanted to make this a regular thing...and then I forgot that I was doing this. It really is a challenge for me to get on and blog everyday. For some it comes naturally as part of their cyberspace/social networking daily regimen. For me...well, let's just say that I have a facebook account and it is lucky if I drop in once a month.
So, why is my wife awesome today? My wife and I have 3 kids. Their ages are: 3,2,1. Yes we are crazy, and we still plan on having more. She is currently meeting with two other mothers who have 3 year-old boys (ours is a boy) and putting on a preschool for them. She doesn't use a nanny or daycare, she just takes care of all three while doing the preschool. How awesome is that?!?!?! Not only that but she is considering homeschooling the kids. Somehow she still has time and energy to take care of her husband everyday.
I love her.

October 10, 2011
I was really frustrated with something that was going on at work and my wife had me talk to my 3 year old son and 2 year old daughter on the phone. I was detirmined to stay in my bad mood but the truth is that I loved it and it really did brighten my day.
She picked up my father from the airport and my mother, father and her with 3 kids met me at the bay where we played, drove the waverunner and snacked and talked. It was such a wonderful treat. I know these (and any) outings take a lot more effort and patience than she lets on.
I know that I am starting this late, but I wanted to mention that one week ago my wife agreed to go night surfing with me in the red tide. It is an awesome experience...so I wanted to share it with her. She tried her best, but she is actually terrified of surfing because of the big waves...add to that the darkness and she was freaking out. But she was pretty sure that is how it would go anyway and didn't want to let me down. How awesome is that? She was willing to go through an almost guaranteed horrible experience to have a night out with me. Totally awesome! I love her!
